The Oakville ICE
The franchise has been operating successfully for 10 years and was originally named the Mississauga Chiefs. The team changed their ownership and name in 1999 to the Mississauga Ice Bears and will now be renamed the Oakville ICE, ushering a new era in the team's development.

Team Mission Statement
The Oakville ICE represents fun, family-oriented, competitive sports entertainment. The team is dedicated to participating within the community, contributing to the development of high level women's hockey and growing as a business to reach its full potential.
- Sport - The Oakville ICE is a dedicated, intensive hockey program where women hockey players can utilize and develop their skills at a highly competitive level in a positive environment.
- Community - The team participates in both the hockey community and the Oakville community through various activities including directing the development of the junior girls Oakville ICE club.
- Business - The Oakville ICE is a not-for-profit corporation that operates through a Board of Directors and management structure. The business objective of the team is to maintain a healthy financial position for the team and its growth in the Oakville market. This will be achieved through the development of meaningful, long-term relationships with sponsors and the community.
